Cong. Jones Opposes Obama’s PRO-AMNESTY Policy
Congressman Walter B. Jones, Jr (R-NC, 3) announced Thursday that he opposed President Barack Obama’s new pro-amnesty policy toward illegal aliens already living in the United States.
The president’s policy includes, but is not limited to, deporting illegal aliens only if they have a criminal record or pose a national security threat, and allowing nearly all other illegal aliens to remain in the country.
In a letter to President Obama, Jones and other IRC members point out that the new policy will only encourage more illegal immigration. They also call on the Administration to enforce all of America’s immigration laws, not just those it finds politically convenient.
“The President’s new pro-amnesty policy simply rewards those who break the law,” said Jones. “This Administration should be focused on securing our borders, not finding ways to undermine that goal.”
