Because I’m The Governor, That’s Why! (Video)
WILMINGTON: The North Carolina Republicans have done it again. Chairman Robin Hayes and company are going after Governor Beverly Perdue.
They’ve created an attack dog website to remind voters that Beverly Perdue and her liberal pals do NOT stand for the issues that most voters hold dear.
Perdue does not stand with us, the middle class, made up of Republicans, Independents, libertarians, and conservatives and even Democrats. We must let them all know this, and continue reminding them, right up until election day 2010.
According to Hayes,
The site was set up, in part, to remind North Carolinians of Governor Perdue’s commitment to making the temporary sales tax increase temporary.
Less than two years after claiming the people of North Carolina can believe her temporary tax pledge “because she’s the governor,” Beverly Perdue is refusing to sign a bipartisan budget agreement that does not include her billion-dollar tax increase.
Hayes continued,
I applaud the Republican leadership in the North Carolina General Assembly for their bipartisan budget agreement that protects North Carolina families, small businesses, and classrooms without raising taxes.
“It is clear that Governor Perdue is more concerned with playing politics and appealing to her liberal base than putting our state on a fiscally responsible course for future generations.”
Checkout the video below and see what you think. Then click on the website, here. We must continue to remind ourselves and our friends how Perdue and the liberals have never met a tax increase they didn’t love.
The left’s message will be strong. Expect them to tell lies about how Republicans cut this and cut that and how your Representative didn’t care about children or seniors. But they will be wrong. We must make sure our message comes across more effectively. The battle lines have been drawn. Are you with us?
