Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum

According to a post in Tuesday’s Daily Caller, former United States Senator Rick Santorum plans to officially announce his plans to enter the race for the Presidency the week of June the 5th.  This was confirmed to writer Alexis Levinson by an aide to the former Senator.

Levinson also wrote:

Santorum would become the fifth person to officially announce his candidacy, following closely on the heels of Tim Pawlenty’s announcement on Monday, and Herman Cain’s announcement this weekend. Other candidates who have officially announced include Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich.
