Call to Action: Do You Stand With The People of North Carolina or With Obama, Pelosi and Reid?
Today, North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Robin Hayes released the following “Call to Action” to supporters ahead of tomorrow’s House Bill 2 veto override vote:
“In 2010, North Carolina Republicans promised to reduce the size of government and to protect North Carolina families and businesses from the job-crushing Obamacare legislation. Republicans in the General Assembly passed House Bill 2 that will exclude North Carolina families and businesses from certain provisions in the Obamacare legislation and directs Attorney General Roy Cooper to contest the constitutionality of Obamacare in the United States Supreme Court.
After a Washington, D.C. meeting with President Obama and other liberal allies, Governor Perdue chose to veto House Bill 2 to improve her standing with her liberal base for her re-election in 2012.
Today, we are asking you to once again stand up against President Obama, Governor Perdue, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and their their job-crushing healthcare legislation.
Please call (DO NOT E-MAIL) the following representatives today and ask:
‘Are you going to stand with the people of North Carolina and vote to override Governor Perdue’s veto of House Bill 2 or are you going to stand with big government liberals like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and in support of the job-crushing Obamacare bill?’
Rep, William Brisson 919-733-5772 William.Brisson@ncleg.net
Rep. James Crawford 919-733-5824 Jim.Crawford@ncleg.net
Rep. Elmer Floyd 919-733-5959 Elmer.Floyd@ncleg.net
Rep. Dewey Hill 919-733-5830 Dewey.Hill@ncleg.net
Rep. Frank McGuirt 919-715-3007
Rep. Tim Spear 919-715-3029 Tim.Spear@ncleg.net
Rep. Winkie Wilkins 919-715-0850 Winkie.Wilkins@ncleg.net
Remember, if any member of the General Assembly votes in support of Governor Perdue’s veto of House Bill 2, they are voting to stand with President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, not North Carolina families and businesses.
Thank you for all your hard work, togther we can stop this job-crushing legislation and get our state back on the right track.
Sincerely,
Robin Hayes
Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party
