Gas Prices Up Up Up, Obama Sitting By: Let’s Lower Gas Taxes in NC
We haven’t gotten gas in the last few days, but we are seeing outrageous reports of those higher prices at the pump. Who knows what the prices will be tomorrow?
Dr. Bill Smith, a friend of KCC, from Arkansas, has an excellent report on his blog, ARRA News Service. He was an early blogging mentor and he spends up to 80 hours per week on his work.

Naturally, the higher our gas prices rise in North Carolina, the more revenue the state takes in and the more money taxpayers lose. If possible, buy gas in Virginia. Additionally, South Carolina advertises it’s lower gas prices along the North Carolina’s border counties. (Not sure on our neighbors in Georgia or in Tennessee but Tennessee has a reputation as one of the lowest taxed states in the nation.)
Meanwhile, we must all contact our state legislators and ask them to do what they can to help lower gas prices in NC, by giving us a tax holiday or just getting rid of certain gas taxes forever.
We all know this will be a tall order. The new GOP NC General Assemblywas elected to fix the mess that the liberals left after having a spending party.
But we can still contact our members of the NC General Assembly and encourage them. Who wants to continue paying high gas taxes? It’s one of the most regressive taxes we have.
