CPAC 2011: Herman Cain
Following TX Governor Rick Perry‘s CPAC speech on Friday afternoon, radio talk show host and former Godfather’s Pizza CEO/President Herman Cain addressed the audience in the Marriott Ballroom.
Cain philosophized that the worst tragedy in life is not failing to meet your goals, but instead having no goals. Cain claimed the American Dream is under attack, but the good news is that we are now fighting back.
He asserted that America suffers from too much legislation, regulation, and taxation. Cain called Obamacare an “absolute disaster” which should be repealed. He said the regulatory requirements of Obamacare cost small businesses $10,000 per employee.
Cain wants to replace the current tax code (which he calls a “mess”) with the Fair Tax.
Cain said that we must “stay informed” and that “stupid people” are running America. He stated “it’s not in America’s DNA to be mediocre”. Cain joked that Democrats use “SIN” tactics when debated: Shifting the subject, Ignoring the facts, and Name calling.
Finally, Cain praised the CPAC audience as Patriots, not racists.
