CPAC Attendees From All Walks of life

Here at CPAC, the image of the stuffy Republican is long dead.  Sure there are the donors who dress exceptionally well, but so do bloggers, who receive all access passes to attend any event.   We bloggers must dress professionally as we never know who we might run into.

That’s not the case for everyone. Take the case of an excited lady on the front row this morning.  She could be described as “older” and worse a gaudy, convention-style hat full of pins and tea bags that hung all over.  It gave this blogger the shivers, thinking back to Bill Mahr’s hat where he called us “tea baggers”, and unacceptable sexual term.  Network news cameras turned to her for her every reaction.

There were the Ron Paul “Liberty” crowd.   The students for Liberty came dressed well, but some of his older supporters looked a bit unkempt.

There are a huge number of college students here, including a large contingent from The Citadel.  It was exciting for this blogger to see our future military leaders, dressed in uniform.  At first, KCC thought they were West Pointers.

A pretty young woman in the crowd, sitting near the bank of cameras, earned a lot of attention with her low cut, tight, blouse.   KCC even saw some Las Vegas style “outfits” as young women were gettingi into cabs.  They might not have been CPACers, however, as the Wardman Park is one of Washington’s largest hotels and can host several conventions simultaneously.

Most attendees came dressed casually, wanting to be comfortable as they battled their way from event to event.  Make no mistake, the crowds are heavy.  So much so, that CPAC organizers expanded to another  part of the hotel this year, to include the Thurgood Marshall ballroom/side.

Conservative women and men come in all stripes and colors.  We’ve seen people in middle eastern descent, African descent, conservative African immigrants, legal Hispanic immigrants, Asians, etc.  The conservative message is spreading and no matter what “flavor” of conservatism you subscribe to, CPAC has something for you.  We all want Barack Obama gone in two years.
