The Roots of Ronald Reagan’s Ambition

Wall Street Journal editorialist, John Fund, says Ronald Reagan was inspired by a book he  read age 11.  The book was an inspiring novel.

When Reagan was 11, his mother gave him an inspirational novel called “That Printer of Udell’s,” the story of a young man who combines a belief in “practical Christianity” with Horatio Alger-like grit.

Read the rest of John Fund’s piece here.  Fund is a favorite of this blogger and she sees him occasionally, at events in Washington.  She hopes he will visit the bloggers room at CPAC, which begins on Thursday.
