Action Alert: Tell Your Legislators to Support NC Voter ID Bill
Some legislators are getting “cold feet”, according to a report by GOP Womens activist, Joyce Kraweic. In an e-mail to members of the NC Federation of Republican Women, Kraweic wrote:
Many of you have heard that there has emerged a strong lobby to stop the Voter ID legislation … so far, there seems to be steadfast commitment from the Republicans to pass this much needed legislation. But we will not take anything for granted and will follow this legislation through until it is passed. …please call your legislator’s office (especially if you have a Democrat representative) and ask them to support Voter ID legislation that will ensure that only those legally eligible to vote will be able to do so.
She concluded:
The main switchboard number is 919-733-4111. You may call and ask for your legislator or go to http://www.ncleg.net to look up the direct office number.
The group will visit the State Legislature on Tuesday to show their support for this and other measures now under consideration by the new Republican-lead NC General Assembly.
