Rep. Brad Miller (D - NC 13)

As the Triangle area of North Carolina braced for ice Monday evening, your blogger found herself at the same Raleigh grocery store with Congressman Brad Miller (D-NC13).

Dressed for business, Congressman Miller was doing what hundreds of his constituents were, picking up last minute staples for the oncoming storm.  Your blogger was happy to see him and is glad that he didn’t feel the need for security.

KCC is also proud that Congressman Miller appears not to have rushed to judgement and blamed the tea party, Sarah Palin, and other conservatives for the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Sadly, many in the mainstream media have done just that.

Editor’s Note:  KCC has been tough  in past posts on Brad Miller, as we rarely agree on the issues.  For example, he supported President Barack Obama‘s version of health care reform that former House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, managed to force upon us.

However, she has nothing personal against Miller, and for fifteen years, we attended the same Raleigh Episcopal church where we both served as ushers.

UPDATE: Apparently your blogger has spoken too soon.  According to blogger, Citizen WElls, Miller has exploited the tragedy.  Check out what he has to say, here.
