Smart Girl Politics - Conservative Women's Group - Endorses Renee Ellmers in NC-2

Renee Ellmers, who is running neck-and-neck with liberal Congressman Bobby Etheridge (D-NC-2), received another important endorsement this week. Smart Girl Politics noted her conservative qualifications, along with other top conservative women, including Congresswoman Michele Bachman (MN-6).

On their endorsement website, the group wrote:

We are pleased to offer our endorsement of Renee Ellmers, who is running against Bob Etheridge in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District. Renee’s background in health care and her experience as a small business owner, make her the right person for the job at this crucial time in both North Carolina’s and our nation’s history. Renee knows that we, the people, are tired of being pushed around by our representatives in Washington, D.C.. Once elected, she promises to bring a fresh perspective and a new way of doing things to Capitol Hill, something we at Smart Girl Politics believe is sorely lacking in Washington these days.

Smart Girl Politics, which your blogger is a member and attended their recent national summit, strives to reach out to as many conservative women around the country as possible.  They offer online training covering such topics as local political structure, how to run a campaign, and how to use social media to express your opinions and make your voices hear.

They have been affiliated with the Tea Party movement and your blogger was impressed with the quality of the women, especially the younger women at the recent national summit.

Meanwhile, your blogger has “adopted” the Ellmers campaign in conjunction with a group of bloggers sponsored by FREEDOMWORKS. We need Renee in Congress and Mr. Etheridge sent back home.  Mrs. Ellmers better represents the interests of the citizens of NC-2 than does Bob “Who ARE YOU?”.
