Liberal NC Democrats Lying Again – GOP Challengers Need Help!

Don Davis and A.B. Swindell – Democratic state Senators from Eastern North Carolina – want you to think they’re conservatives. According the NC Senate Republican Caucus, a group dedicating to electing a GOP majority in the North Carolina Senate, both voted on some fishy projects.

Votes on a $1.1 billion tax increase last year and numerous wasteful spending projects – like a luxurious $25 million fishing pier – prove otherwise. (Blogger’s Note: Actually, there will be three, one for each of the state-owned aquariums.)

But Davis and Swindell are not just liberals pretending to be conservatives, they’re also desperately trying to hold on to their power by lying to voters about their Republican challengers, Louis Pate and Buck Newton, respectively.

Don Davis claims that Louis Pate wants to fire 18,000 teachers. False.

The truth is, Don Davis voted for a state budget this year that cut education funding by $250 million and laid off 3,000 teachers.

A.B. Swindell stands behind a malicious, patently false smear campaign against Buck Newton – saying he was arrested for drug charges. Unfortunately for Mr. Swindell, court documents prove he’s lying.

The truth is, A.B. Swindell doesn’t want the voters to focus on his 10-year record as a liberal posing as a conservative. State spending has increased by an astounding 50 percent on Swindell’s watch.

Help the true conservatives in Eastern North Carolina, Louis Pate and Buck Newton, fight the smears, keep their popular TV commercials on the air and bring their message to the voters.
