Perdue Appoints Spend Thrift David Hoyle as NC Revenue Secretary
From the North Carolina Republican Party:
At a press conference in Raleigh this afternoon, NCGOP Chairman Tom Fetzer noted that despite a slumping economy, Gov. Beverly Perdue still has a formula for rewarding long time Democrat allies. Fetzer said that Perdue’s appointment of Democrat Sen. David Hoyle as Revenue Secretary, a six figure position, further shows the cronyism of the Democrat political machine.
“Since Sen. Hoyle was elected, the state budget and increased taxes have become a financial burden on North Carolina’s taxpayers, and under his leadership, the state has fallen into an economic quagmire.”
Earlier this year, Perdue appointed another high ranking Democrat Senator, Tony Rand, to head the Parole Commission. Over the past two years, these two Democrats have led the State Senate to approve over a billion dollars in new taxes in the middle of a recession and continued wasteful spending while North Carolinians foot the bill. “Perdue’s pay to play philosophy is paying off for Hoyle and Rand, but our citizens have seen enough,” Fetzer said.
