Smart Girl Politics is having their national convention Thursday and Friday and your blogger is here in Washington enjoying every bit of it.  It was a tough decision to leave North Carolina so close to an election, but with the line up of speakers and the chance to meet some Twitter friends in “real life”, KCC could not pass it up.

At the moment, Anita Moncrief of American Majority is speaking.  This is a live account of what she is saying and is updated regularly.

Moncrief says as conservatives, we left a lot of people out in the cold, by electing liberals/moderates.  Now, it’s time to get those people back.

“In many states, you can go to prison for up to four years for lying on a voter registration form, but Acorn has made it a joke.”  How does Moncrief know this?  She is the hero who once went to work for ACORN as a believer, but gradually changed her mind as she noticed the fraud they committed.  In short, Anita Moncrief is the famous whistle blower.

“Many college students will register at multiple locations, such as their parents’ home and also at their college.  They need to pick one and stick with it… at ACORN and they encouraged ‘double voting’.”

Warned people to be aware of state laws when registering people to vote,  i.e. parolees.

She mentioned that ACORN is not above throwing their own “under the bus”.  She told the Smart Girls that ACORN gets young people to commit voter fraud yet allows them to be prosecuted when they get caught.  (Even the mafia looks out for their own, thinks this blogger.)

Moncrief strongly encouraged conservatives to be poll watchers and use cameras, but at the same time, know your laws so you won’t be charged with a misdemeanor.  We don’t want our folks going to jail.

We do need poll watchers, badly.

That’s one of the best ways to catch fraud.  In North Carolina, friends of this blogger have stationed themselves in notorious precincts (with the proper permissions) to make sure procedures are followed.

Twitter and Facebook are your best friends.  ”That’s how local issues become national issues.”

Don’t let our Secretary of State sweep things under the rug.

Get your videos out on You Tube.  For example, your blogger carries a small “Bloggie” camera by Sony in her pocket everywhere, so if need be, she can capture the next voter registration of illegal aliens, as happened this summer in Raleigh.  That WAS swept under the rug.

Moncrief encouraged her audience to elect conservative Secretaries of State.  It doesn’t matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes, she said.

Folks, that means we have to defeat Elaine Marshall TWICE.  Once against Senator Richard Burr, and again in 2012 against whatever conservative or Republican challenger who comes forward.   We need to get rid of her and send her back home!  She’s too liberal for North Carolina.

Moncrief concluded that we aren’t there looking for a fight, and we aren’t out there to get in trouble.  We are there to get people elected.
