9/12 Rally and Commentary

Photo Credit: "The Other McCain" Blog

Your blogger was only able to stay at the 9/12 rally for about half the time time yesterday, due to an oncoming cold and sore throat.  It rained part of the day, and she just didn’t want to get any sicker than she already was/is.

So, her blogger buddy, Peter, aka Da Tech Guy, has posted some awesome 9/12 Rally Photos on his site.   Go check them out or you’ll be missing out!

Meanwhile, Chris Renner takes a look back at 9/11/2001 in New York City and Smitty of  The Other McCain has a nice post about yesterday’s rally.

Finally, Michelle Malkin commented on the controversy over how long it has to build a monument on the site of the World Trade Center.

According to FreedomWorks president Matt Kibbe, speaking to the The Daily Caller, the march brought drew about 100,000 people, which was smaller than in 2009.  However, 9/12 marches and observances were going on around the nation, including in North Carolina.

Additionally, Glenn Beck held a Restoring Honor rally here just two weeks ago didn’t help matters. The event, billed as a non-political turned into more of a religious event.  (Beck is a devout Mormon.)

Your blogger wishes he had been willing to  combine his event with this one and could have shared his stage with the FreedomWorks group.  One wonders if he chose not to, because he likes being a “lone Ranger” and sharing a stage wasn’t his style.

Sure, Mr. Beck, to his credit, did have conservative icon Sarah Palin, but she was merely his warm up act. Additionally, some in the crowd actually booed when Governor Palin saluted our men and women in uniform, fighting for freedom overseas.

Let us all pull together, conservatives of all stripes.  Together we stand divided we fall.

May we never, ever forget the tragedy that happened on that horrible day, September 11, 2001.  Over 3,000 people died in the attack on this nation.  Your blogger cannot imagine the horror that went through the minds of those on the

aircraft, knowing they were going to die.  May they forever rest in peace and may we always remember their sacrifices.

May God continue to Bless America!

Let’s punish the terrorist sympathizers this November 2nd.  Bring your friends and neighbors to the polls for early voting.  Then go out and work your polling place.  Say hello to those you know and encourage them to vote for the right candidates.  Rallies alone aren’t going to bring out the vote.  Only you and I, working together, can do that!
