Etheridge vs. Elmers Round ?
After Sarah Palin endorsed Renee Ellmers Thursday, Congressman Bob Etheridge‘s campaign released the following:
“Sarah Palin, who ditched her public service job to be a celebrity, is just the latest in a string of far right politicians and groups to endorse Renee Ellmers,” Etheridge said in a statement. “It is scary to think that Ellmers is going to take her marching orders about job creation from a person who abandoned the job she was elected to do for the people of Alaska.”
After your blogger finished laughing and realized that “Who ARE YOU?” Bob was serious, she turned to the Elmers campaign for a statement:
“Yesterday, Bob Etheridge attacked me, saying I’ll be ‘taking my orders’ on job creation from Governor Sarah Palin.
I could point out, in reply, Congressman Etheridge has been taking his instructions on job creation from Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. As a result, half a million more people have lost jobs. Job creation is a debate I want to have with Bob Etheridge – so I challenge him to stop dodging and agree to a debate on job creation now.”
Your blogger simply cannot believe that a seven-term Congressman can make so many mistakes in one campaign. In the notorous “Who Are You” video, he appeared to be under-the-influence, when grabbing a young man by the collar while the youngerster was urging Etheridge to “please let go”.
Now, Bob refers to the former Alaska governor as a wanna be celebrity? This blogger plans to file this under “You’ve got to be kidding me, Bob.”
Palin might be a celebrity but it’s because she resonates with America. She resonates with parents, with families who work hard to make ends meet, and with people who love their country and want to see it get back on course. In short, she represents the “every man” in America today.
This has nothing to do with Palin as your next President and everything to do with Etheridge continuing to represent North Carolina in the United States Congress! Come on Bob, what are you afraid of?
