Sen. Richard Burr Has Women

Senator Richard Burr has women. Lots of women.  Over 1,000 women.  Women working for his re-election campaign, that is. To make things perfectly clear,  he remains happily married to Brooke with two  grown sons, so Senator Richard Burr is a class act.

The Women

The Richard Burr campaign has actually launched the Women for Burr coalition.  In fact, your blogger is on the committee, representing Wake County.

Our senior Senator has represented North Carolina well these last six years and we need him to continue so he can  lead the impending Republican wipeout of Obama‘s Liberal lapdogs.

According to the Burr campaign,
The coalition is essential in reaching out to women living and working in North Carolina, and bringing them into the political process for this important election.
The Women for Burr coalition has over 1,000 members from all 100 counties in North Carolina and ranges from members 18 to 100 years of age.   This Coalition understands that Richard Burr is committed to issues important to women throughout North Carolina and throughout the nation.
Also check out Senator Burr’s other coalitions: Business leaders for Burr, Veterans for Burr, Students for Burr, Seniors for Burr, and most especially, DEMOCRATS for Burr.

Why Burr Needs Democrats

Your blogger’s own parents fall into this last category.  Like many in Eastern North Carolina, they remain registered Democrats, as were their parents, though they aren’t particular proud of it and they feel their party left them long ago.

However, there is something in their blood about tradition and they will not change their registration.  Formally, these people were known as JESSECRATS as they turned out in mass at every election, to support the late U.S. Senator, Jesse Helms.  Burr knows he must capture as many Democrats as possible to win another term and his Democrats coalition will help.

Note that Mrs. Jesse Helms, “Miss Dot”, as she is known, is near the top of the list of Burr’s Women’s Coalition.  She remains ever popular in North Carolina and she is much beloved.
