Cong. Heath Shuler: Things Are Tough All Over

According to a post in the Raleigh News and Observer‘s Under the Dome blog, Congressman Heath Shuler (D-NC, 11th Dist) isn’t having the walk in the park election that he envisioned, despite a huge fundraising advantage.

Dome reports that a poll commissioned by the Civitas Institute,

found the 11th district race to be in a dead heat with Shuler leading (challenger Jeff) Miller by a 45-to-44 percent margin.

Dome also reported: The survey of 400 registered voters was conducted July 22-25 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

Like your blogger has said previously, every race in North Carolina is in play this year.  Despite Shuler’s “blue dog” status, the fact is, he often votes with Nancy Pelosi and is available to do President Obama bidding.

Is this really what Western NC deserves in Congress?
