Thank Senator Burr for Opposing the Kagan Nomination

This morning, your blogger found a note in her personal email box from Larry Hart, Director of Governmental Relations of the American Conservative Union.

He asked KCC, and the people on his mailing list, to make a quick call to thank Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) for committing to opposing Elena Kagan for U.S. Supreme Court.

Kagan was nominated on May 1oth  by President Obama, to fill the vacancy created by the retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.

Your blogger asks that you, too, do the same, and thank Senator Burr for opposing this nomination.  It took KCC all of ten seconds to make the call and pass along the message to a member of Burr’s staff in Washington.

Simply call 202-224-3154 and tell the person that answers the phone, that you called to “Thank Senator Burr for his commitment to oppose Kagan’s nomination.”  Your blogger also gave her name and city. That’s it.

Senators usually get so many negative calls, that a call of reinforcement is a welcome change.

Senator Burr faces North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall (D), in his November re-election bid.  Katy’s Conservative Corner supports Senator Burr and the work he has done on behalf of our great state.
