A Tale of Two Conferences – Vegas Edition
Here in Las Vegas, this weekend, RightOnline is not the only political game in town. Also here is George Soros‘ Net Roots’ Nation.
We at RightOnline, at the Venetian Hotel, have heard from such heros from the right as Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN), and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN). Meanwhile, they, over at the Rio, are being “inspired” by Al Franken and former President Bill Clinton. Follow them on Twitter at hashtag #nn10, provided you have the stomach for it.
The liberals claim they have twice as many in attendance as do we, but RightOnline is a newer conference, put together by a younger organization (Americans for Prosperity), and is growing faster.
Continue to follow RightOnline on Twitter at hashtag #ro10. Many attendees are tweeting, rather than blogging, and my fellow tweeters can pick up good people to follow by searching and following particular hashtags.
Saturday at RightOnline brings us Judge Andrew Napolitano of Fox News, Erick Erickson of RedState.com, Ed Morrisey of HotAir.com, and Hermain Cain, Radio Host and Fox News Contributor, among others.
The 2010 conference is bigger and better than 2009 event in Pittsburgh. There are more “Tracks” for attendees to follow. For example, your blogger is most interested in the “Citizen Journalism” track and has been attending those sessions. Meanwhile, there are tracks for Online Activism 101, Grassroots Activism, Public Policy Issues, and Advanced Online Activism.
Finally, on Saturday, the event will conclude with a “November is Coming Rally” hosted by Americans for Prosperity.
North Carolinians here include Dallas Woodhouse, Chris Marie Farr and Chad Adams of the North Carolina Chapter of Americans for Prosperity, Lorie Byrd of Wizbang blog, and a couple of other bloggers from Charlotte, whose names have now escaped KCC.

Thanks to AFP’s Erik Telford and his colleagues for putting together a great event
