Heading To RightOnline 2010

After a week that saw a change in blog platforms, a trip in the ambulance to the emergency room and hairdressers, your blogger is now headed out to Las Vegas for the very first time. Admittedly, it was not among the top places on her list to visit, but when the invitation came to blog and tweet the Americans For Prosperity‘s 3rd RightOnline Conference, she could not turn it down.

As mentioned in a a previous blog post, the list of speakers is top notch.

Your blogger attended last year’s event in Pittsburgh and had a blast.  According to the RightOnline website:

Last year over 700 activists from around the country attended the RightOnline Conference in Pittsburgh to connect, learn, and exchange ideas to advance our shared conservative values. Participants came away with a large network of fellow activists and innovative online tools to amplify the voice of the right.
The results paid dividends as we saw the Tea Party movement grow organically through online activism and capture the attention of the main stream media. This summer, we’re going to keep the momentum going!

The first event was held in Austin, Texas as an alternative voice to the NetRoots conference for the liberal voices online.

The fiscally conservative AFP wanted to share tips, pointers, and how-to’s regarding the best practices of getting one’s message across online, in the variety of ways available.  This includes not only blogs and Twitter, but also social media, such as Facebook and it’s many challengers.   Last year’s event prompted your blogger to change platforms and this year will see Katy’s Conservative Corner grow even more, always with all original writing.

Most of what your blogger will post will be on Twitter, so follow her twitter feed at the left or go to http://www.twitter.com/katys

To follow all of the twitter feeds at RightOnline 2010 and see for yourself what all attendees are saying, follow the hashtag #righton10   You can run a search for it on any Twitter page.
